Composing shots, trouble shooting, and making the day for Rage. Narrative Feature Film. 2023.
Over 12 years behind the camera and in front of it. Eric Miller came up through stand-up, improv, and acting before turning that performance instinct toward cinematography and production design. He co-founded Lake Forest Studios in 2021 with his brother Jason — building the company from the ground up into a production house operating across Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York.
Eric leads cinematography, production design, and color across every LFS project. His background on stage gives him a directing sensibility rooted in working with actors, not just capturing them. He shoots what he designs and grades what he shoots — a unified creative vision from set to screen.
Eric's work spans features, documentaries, commercials, and branded content. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University's School of Cinematic Arts, with a concentration in Directing and Cinematography.

Deep in production and always digging in, exploring, discovering, and constantly shaping. 2023.
Over 12 years behind the camera and in front of it. Jason Miller came up through stand-up, sketch, and improv before channeling that creative energy into directing, editing, and sound design. He co-founded Lake Forest Studios in 2021 with his brother Eric — building the company from the ground up into a production house operating across Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York.
Jason leads editorial, sound design, and on-set operations as First AD. His background on stage gives him an editor's instinct for performance and timing. He cuts what he directs and designs the sound for what he cuts — keeping the creative thread unbroken from set to delivery.
Jason's work spans features, documentaries, reality television, and commercial campaigns. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Drake University's School of Journalism and Mass Communication, with a focus in Radio and Television Production.

Creating projects that will stand the test of time, everyone involved can be forever proud of, and casting the largest net possible— getting our stories out to the world.
Capturing a great photo is the result of the presence of mind of an enthusiastic person going out into the field and conducting an experiment, even a failed one can be turned into a success afterwards. I love photography for this reason. You must stay aware of one’s surroundings, the position of the sun in the sky, the millimeter of your lens and distance from subject to image sensor, to the going ons of a scene and emotional shifts, always allowing enough space for the unexpected to happen. This is my goal every time I look through a viewfinder, capture this moment in time.
