EXTENDED SYNOPSIS: Some cities forgive. Chicago keeps a ledger. And some debts don't start with you — they start with the man who raised you. Richie and Danny Denton (Patrick Muldoon, Kevin Interdonato) grew up on Chicago's south side learning their hands were good for one thing. They've spent fifteen years working off the same debt to Dally (Michael Beach), a local boss whose patience runs short and whose reach runs long. Richie's wife Sheila (Denise Richards) is dancing nights at Dally's club to chip away at what's left. They were never going to be anything else. The city, and the men who came before them, made sure of it. Then a routine deal collapses. A kingpin's son ends up dead. And the night turns into a hunt — rival crews closing from the outside, their own people turning from within, and Sheila forced to choose between the brother she loves and the boss who owns them all. By dawn, only one Denton walks out of Chicago.

Starring Patrick Muldoon, Denise Richards, and Michael Beach. A Lake Forest Studios production. Distributed by Saban Films.

It takes a village and then some… maybe a lightning bolt or two, a tornado, a rainbow, and a pot of gold — it’s Filmmaking.

With the crew, everything’s better. Ideas expanded and deepened. Meanings broadened, specified, and highlighted. Forgotten ones remembered and executed. Refinements ironed out, actualized, and cemented. Nothing happens or exists without the crew. Creating fictional worlds to be documented at the highest resolution at this tier takes a monumental type of heavy lifting. We can’t express our gratitude enough, there are no words to truly detail how much effort, and impactful every person , energy , critical eye , decisiveness , sensibility , spirit , and being an absolute RAW UNRELENTING FORCE takes to make any of this work. That's why these are the people we keep working with. Thank you to everyone. Jason and I will do anything to support you, in this industry and out of it. We're lucky to have you — excellent humans, master crafters, genuine artists — we’re forever grateful to call all of you great friends. Here’s to staying in the good fight — in the impossible industry! 72 shoot days and counting…

I’m a loaded gun, just point me. —Patrick Muldoon

We all need this type of positivity, openness, and willingness to try. Thanks, Pat, for instilling this in our belief system, and most of all for being so patient and kind to all of us. Meeting and working with you on The Corner in 2022 , and a second time on Dirty Hands in 2024 , was seriously a dream come true. When you could’ve eye-rolled, you yelled out, “I’m a loaded gun, just point me.” Thank you — rest in peace. We will always reminisce about all the late nights, infamous one-liners, Post Malone sing-along dance parties, the set’s hype man, and doing what we all love to do. You are the crew’s favorite.

Forever thank you, Pat , Peter , Nathan , Indie , Mayank , Vasyl , Chris , Kayla , Jess , Will , Joe , Atticus , Griffin , Jonathan , Maria , Bryan , Carleen , Paul , Brittney , and Nate. Additionally, thank you to everyone at ATLAS Lighting , Daufenbach Camera , 7th Circle Productions , The Look List Club , Cine Mechanics , Second City Sound , Cine Chase Systems , Chicagoland Trucking , Anvil Entertainment , LUMIN8PRODUCTIONS , MSP Film Society , Chicago Film Society , The Main Cinema , Music Box Theater , DePaul University , and Columbia College. Stephen Wester , Ben Stevenson , and Stephen Wheeler, your continued support means the absolute world to us — we wouldn’t be here taking swings without it. The same goes for Producer Mike De Trana , who hired us on The Corner another opportunity of a lifetime. Sometimes it takes a whole lot of luck, patience, and someone willing to finally believe in the small guys before you can start making waves in this vast, treacherous ocean. Mike, you gave us wind, our fuel, the momentum— thank you so very much. A special, warm-hearted, endless thank you to my mentor, Director of Photography Pete Biagi , who taught me everything about image creation, visual language, and lighting — from the ground up. You all are one of one. Chicago STRONG. Midwest is BEST. Nothing is forgotten, all is remembered, always reminded, forever blessed. Thank you, everyone! Here comes the next pitch — it’s baseball season. Let’s go, Cubs!

For Pat.

That's what living is — the six inches in front of your face.

You got to look at the guy next to you, look into his eyes. Now I think you're going to see a guy who will go that inch with you. You're going to see a guy who will sacrifice himself for this team because he knows when it comes down to it, you're going to do the same for him. That's a team.

Fear is like a giant fog. It sits on your brain and blocks everything — real feelings, true happiness, real joy. They can't get through that fog. But you lift it, and buddy, you're in for the ride of your life.

Uninvited guests — the goons have arrived. Featuring — The Lower Wacker LUT 500T 16:9

T h e L o w e r W a c k e r LUT

Lower Wacker Drive is the road Chicago built underneath itself. A second city, layered below the first — sodium vapor, fluorescent, exhaust haze, cinder block. The architecture the city doesn't put on postcards. The geography the Denton brothers were raised in.

Eric MillerDirector of Photography on Dirty Hands — designed The Lower Wacker LUT specifically for this film. A custom finishing pass built around a single question: what does Chicago look like when the city stops pretending? Cool blacks that crush to true black instead of resting in safe ambient blue. The practicals are characters in this film. DEEP rich spots of color in a desaturated gritty reality. Chicago's underbelly: polluted air, tungsten warmth, urban sodium orange, fluorescent's green spike, neon's electric punch — every light source held at its true temperature, doing the work it was lit to do. Heavy photochemical grain modeled on Kodak Vision3 500T. A theatrical contrast curve calibrated for a calibrated room. The grade isn't a style laid over the film. It's a photographic argument about the city the brothers were raised in.

The format extends the argument. Dirty Hands was photographed in mixed aspect ratio. 2.39:1 for the opening, for recent flashbacks, for distant memories. 16:9 for the present tense. Recent flashbacks: The Lower Wacker LUT translated to black-and- white, finer 200 grain — the past close enough to read clean and scoped. Distant memories: 1600 grain modeled on Fuji Neopan 1600, blooming halation — time given weight, every passing second felt. Home: a burning red white balance, 800 grain modeled on CineStill 800T — interior held much HOTTER than the world. Household on fire. Nowhere is safe. No exit. The film keeps track of where you are inside it.

The LUT, the mixed aspect ratio system, the grain references, and the white balance treatment were designed in pre-production and applied through principal photography. They are Eric Miller's authorship as Director of Photography. They live in the Lake Forest Studios archive — the photographic record of how this film was captured.
